The Northville Public Schools Business Office is committed to supporting our outstanding student programming in a fiscally responsible manner.

The primary functions of this office include the collaboration with the Northville Board of Education in establishing a comprehensive budget for all district expenditures. Secondly, this office serves to manage and interpret the often complex system of school finance which the State of Michigan currently utilizes.

In particular, the Business Office focuses on managing trends in the state funding structure and predicting the impact of these changes on Northville’s budget capacity.

Finally, the Business Office is also committed to the local election process as it relates to school related ballot issues including Board of Education elections.

Northville Public Schools sale of refunding bonds results in savings for taxpayers

Northville Public Schools will save taxpayers nearly $275,000 and make lower debt payments over the next 10 years after the successful sale of its 2011 refunding bonds. The bond purchasing agreement was approved by the Board of Education at its August 9, 2011, meeting. Northville Public Schools will have slightly lower debt service payments beginning in May 2012, and taxpayers will notice a lower school debt millage beginning with their 2012 tax bills.
