Northville Public Schools has a school population of approximately 7,039 students enrolled in the kindergarten through twelfth grade program, approximately 280 students in the Special Education Center/Section 53 Programs and approximately 900 students in the pre-school/child care programs.
The District operates the following public schools: six elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and two special education buildings. Northville Public Schools Early Childhood Offices are housed at Ridge Wood Elementary (49775 Six Mile Road).
The support for the kindergarten through twelfth grade program is derived from local property taxes, plus minimal categorical assistance, whereas the Special Education Center Program is a funded program through the Wayne County Regional Educational Service Agency and the Michigan Department of Education.
Early Childhood derives its funding through tuition. The Community's support for the District's school system has been consistent and positive as indicated by the passage of recent bond issues.
